Dive Insight:
Lumber Liquidators looked like it was taking a fast dive this week, as regulators and lawsuits piled up on top of the news that tests shows its laminate product to be potentially toxic. The company has finally come out with more detailed explanations of why those reports may be more alarming than true.
The situation is far from settled, though. It may still take independent tests or even a change in the flooring’s treatment to help the retailer recover in the long run.
