Apparel Magazine, an American publication tracking issues in the apparel industry, has ranked Canadian apparel retailer Lululemon Athletica first in its list of the top 50 most profitable apparel brands in North America. Lululemon’s profit margin for the most recent fiscal year was 17.57%.

Criteria for ranking included being a publicly traded company on a U.S. stock exchange and a minimum of $100 million in annual sales.

Sales at Lululemon increased 16.11% from the year before and sales approaching $1.6 billion netted an income of $280 million, according to the report.
