Dive Brief:
-
Rite Aid stores in New York and Los Angeles are featuring kiosks with 3-D holographic videos.
-
The videos and images will provide health information as well as information about specials, coupons, and product samples.
-
The kiosks don’t require the use of special glasses to see the enhanced images.
Dive Insight:
Rite Aid is taking the coupon-spitting machine up a notch with 3-D videos aimed at getting and keeping its customers’ attention. The kiosks will provide wellness and health information as well.
Rite Aid is still exploring how to boost its health care services, and earlier this year also announced wellness kiosks it’s testing in its Ohio stores that provide access to doctor’s consultations and advice on medications.
